Prognosis
Five to ten years after the onset of the disease, fully healed approximately 25%. The 54% remain in a floating psychiatric chronicity, while 25% remain without improvement. Some patients developing bulimia nervosa. After twenty years course of the disease there is a 18% mortality rate.
